Well holy-mother-of-cocoa-beans this is life changing. Okay, maybe that’s a slight over exaggeration, but this will fill that chocolate whole in your life which can never be to full.
I made overnight oats for the first time one evening, a week or so ago, and they were so simple and made way for a no fuss, easy morning. It is also very adaptable for your own personal flavour and dietary requirements. I know every other food blog out there has their own recipe for delicious overnight oats – but this is my full proof way of having a delicious breakfast that will keep you going until lunch (or snack time at least).
Prep 2 minutes Soak overnight Serves 2
1 cup Oats
1 1/2 cup Oat Milk (or other dairy or nut milks)
2tsp Cacao powder
1/2 tsp Ginger
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
2tsp Lucuma Powder (optional)
1 tbsp Chia Seeds (optional)
Seeds, goji berries, bee pollen, cacao nibs, fresh berries, banana, nuts, nut butter, seeds
ONE. Simply mix together all of the ingredients into a bowl or jar, cover and leave in the fridge overnight.
TWO. Wake-up, top your oats with what you wish and go to town on your breakfast delight. If you have a sweet tooth it may be a good idea to add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey or a trusty banana.
